Introduction to Pali: a primer and reader

Pali is the language of the earliest Buddhist scriptures. In the Pali Canon, the Buddha expounds his way to Liberation, a teaching which invites all to 'come and to see'. This book is for those who wish to come and see the texts for themselves rather than rely on secondary accounts. Even the material for the early exercises is drawn from the Canon, and the passages for reading are chosen for the interest of their content. No knowledge of other foreign languages is assumed.
